Boilermaker – Cocktail of the Month

A Boilermaker is really a very simple idea: a shot of whiskey and a pint of beer. You can either drop the shot into the beer and chug it, or you can drink the shot quickly and then sip the beer slowly. It tastes mostly like whichever beer you choose, and a little like whichever whiskey you use for the shot. Essentially, a beer with a little extra kick.

The Original Boilermaker Recipe

• 2 ounces whiskey
• 10 ounces beer

This one isn’t too easy to get wrong – simply fill the shot glass with whiskey, drop the full shot glass into the full mug of beer, and drink immediately. Similar to an Irish Car Bomb.
